Jim Radcliffe – Inspector
Mr. Radcliffe, co-founder of Medallion Inspections, is certified by the International Code Council (I.C.C.), the organization that establishes building codes used by virtually every governmental jurisdiction worldwide. The ICC was established in 1994 by the merger of CABO and the Southern Building Code Conference. His inspection credentials include Residential Building Inspector, Residential Electrical Inspector, Residential Mechanical Inspector, and Residential Plumbing Inspector, ICC member number 5240938. He is also a certified member of the American Society of Home Inspectors, the original and leading professional home inspector association in the United States. He is also a member of the ASHI National Standards committee that establishes the standards of practice followed by professional inspectors throughout the US and Canada. In addition, Mr. Radcliffe was previously a member of the board of directors of the Georgia Association of Home Inspectors. He completed course work in the home inspection methods with the Georgia Association of Home Inspectors. His inspections are performed to the high standards of practice developed by ASHI.

Mr. Radcliffe established his roots in the Atlanta real estate community as builder of custom and semi-custom homes. In addition, during his career, Radcliffe was Vice President of Operations in North America for Equant, the largest data communications company in the world, now called the Orange Business Services division of France Telecom. In this role his team was responsible for inspecting more than 15,000 orders and change orders every year to make sure they met contractual, regulatory, pricing and service requirements. He was also responsible for annual target setting, the sales compensation plan, implementing sales commissions, and built a world-class team responsible for establishing and maintaining quality control over the customer experience. He was the senior management chairman of the Council of Leaders, a recognition program for top performing employees throughout the nation.

He has conducted more than 2,800 residential and light commercial inspections in the metropolitan Atlanta area during recent years of properties valued at more than $650 million.  Mr. Radcliffe attended Penn State University as an architecture student, and is a graduate of Ursinus College with a degree in Business Administration. He also attended Southern Polytechnic State University, taking courses in Computer Science. Radcliffe is also a licensed commercial pilot with single and multi engine ratings, and flies radio controlled model airplanes in his free time..

Joe Bettez – Chief Inspector
Mr. Bettez, co-founder of Medallion Inspections, is a graduate of the Georgia Association of Home Inspectors (GAHI) Tim Birch Training Academy. He is certified by the International Code Council (I.C.C.) as Residential Building Inspector. He is also certified by the American Concrete Institute as a concrete inspector, and has more than fourteen years experience conducting residential, commercial, and municipal inspections. He has participated in projects ranging from residential footing, foundation, and waterproofing inspections, soils and asphalt testing at the Orlando and Atlanta International Airports, and testing of paint, framing, windows, carpet and concrete materials for residential builders. He is also a full member of the American Society of Home Inspections (ASHI), the original and leading professional organization for home inspectors in the United States..

Mr. Bettez has conducted more than 24,000 single component commercial and residential inspections working for consulting engineering companies. He has also completed more than 2,800 residential and light commercial inspections throughout the metropolitan Atlanta area during recent years of properties valued at more than $650 million.  He is a graduate of Pinellas Technical Institute in Clearwater, Florida, with a degree in Architectural and Civil Engineering.
